Demand control method

Demand control method

Companies and institutions, by regulation, contract demand (a fixed value or a ratchet) with their local local utility company.

What is the ideal demand?

The question is relevant. If the customer, for safety reasons, gives a wide margin (to avoid fines for exceeding the limit), ends up paying for idle demands, month after month.

However, it is impossible to hit the nail on the head because the registered demand depends on the proportion of electrical assets that are activated in each 15-minute (typically) interval.

And, the assets are way greater than the demand registered in each interval. Hence the "danger". I have developed a widely tested and proven successful methodology. Which ultimately offers a great annual financial benefit. It involves 2 initiatives: (1st) Dimensioning the "control" demand that results in good savings and involves very few actions per day on the "control loads" and (2nd) Connecting the control loads to a demand management system.
