Ameresco to build California BESS for Silicon Valley Power

Data centers dominate the current and forecasted load for Silicon Valley Power (SVP).  According to their Integrated Resource Plan, that figure is expected to double by 2035.  How is the utility preparing to handle that load?  SVP says it is looking to energy storage and geothermal power to successfully manage the anticipated load.  With one energy storage project getting cancelled in 2022, how will the grid be able to meet this growing load? With the help of renewable energy developer, Ameresco.  The developer will build four BESS projects in California, starting as soon as mid-2024.
