Xcel Energy Plans Solar Plants in Texas-New Mexico Service Area

What a great idea...

Take an existing rural NG plant and add solar/storage nearby.  You can cut the usage of NG and take advantage of existing interconnection. Obviously, same could be done for existing coal plants.
