What is a good power price?

What is a good power price?

When a free energy customer or even a regulated one who is considering migrating to the free market the most important question that arises, in my experience, is "what is an attractive price?".

The 4 answers below are the most frequent. They depend on the criteria of each company or institution and, mainly, on their preferences and expectations.

1. Must offer a substantial discount on current regulated rates
2. It must be competitive in Brazil and/or abroad
3. Must keep the energy bill within an acceptable overall cost
4. Must be close to the marginal cost of expanding the energy supply

The most important challenge for each case is figuring out the criteria that should be used. It will be worth exploring this issue at the upper management and/or board level. The rest follows and is even simple and easy!

If you would like to know about the perception of "attractive prices" access the poll.
