Back in August 2022, I wrote a post titled 'Who says electricity and water are not a good mix'.
My intent was to get the electricity industry thinking outside of their current box and start thinking of energy flows in a broader context. Link the flows of free heat within wastewater networks to flows of electricity to simultaneously:
- Decarbonise cities,
- Help manage loads on electrical infrastructure
- Make money
We can now see wastewater heat being delivered as 'Heat As A Service' starting to gather momentum (as I predicted last year). Has anyone in the electricity industry sent their closest wastewater authority manager a Christmas card? Wake up folks, there is an energy opportunity available right now that others are waking up to.....
