From virtually zero to nearly 12 billion cubic feet per year in 8 years!

That’s amazing! From what was once a major net importing nation for LNG, the United States is now the undisputed global leader in net exports. The story of American natural gas – particularly LNG production – is one of extraordinary growth. This according to an informative new article written by U.S. Energy Information Administration’s Victoria Zaretskaya. Despite a 19% decline in LNG exports in 2024, Europe continues to be the largest importing global region – with more than 6 bcf/day coming from US liquefaction facilities. There are currently 8 U.S. LNG export facilities in service. Powering good!
