In 2025 the world will be even more obsessed with energy: from where to get it, to how much and how to store the surplus. Two stories that caught my eye as the year ended include:
- A new material that turns clothes into piezoelectric energy harvesters.
- A high-performance self-charging supercapacitor with integrated solar that marks a milestone in energy storage.
Both technologies come from research being done at the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST) in South Korea.
