The UK version of YouGov recently published a survey of 1,000 drivers of internal combustion vehicles. The survey asked each participant to read 10 statements related to EVs and identify whether they were true or false.
- 90% of the participants answered five or fewer questions correctly.
- 57% of the participants did no better than getting two in 10 correct.
One could easily conclude that there are widespread misconceptions regarding EVs and there is clearly truth to that the belief. But like most issue these days, neither side is being completely honest.
Today’s posts highlights some of the clear misconceptions. In tomorrow’s most we’ll look at some of the biases in the YouGov survey along with similar biases that exist on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency website.
