Tax & Administrative Reforms (Brazil)

Tax & Administrative Reforms

If there is a consensus among entrepreneurs and executives is about the need for tax and administrative reforms.

In the energy/power arena this matter is especially relevant given the ongoing size of the taxes embedded in the monthly bills.

The reasons are very clear:

1. Simplify tax collection
2. Reduce public administration costs
3. Charging more profits and less consumption
4. Put Brazil in a competitive parity

We need to go to the heart of the issue and not just superficiality, which is so dear to our three powers to enable the maintenance of a system that privileges the caste of our "nomenklatura".

An endless list of privileges must be cut that makes no sense to a country who wants to get out of the poverty line in terms of  GDP referred to the population.
