Tariff hike, so what?

The world is shaping up with tariff protectionism.

Two major impacts can be anticipated:

1) Rising costs

Of course, increased tariffs, increased costs for everything that is subject to tariffs. Especially since the size of the tariffs is so large.

2) More tax-intensive governments

Tariffs are collected by the countries that levy them. In the Brazilian case, this will allow the government to increase its fiscal spree.

As always. In the energy sector, the situation is worrying. The sources so highly encouraged in our country require imported items. With higher tariffs, these items will become more expensive, and consequently the energy delivered.

If we had cost meritocracy as our core, we would review our alternatives to prioritise those sources that are more economical, choosing those produced entirely in Brazil. IF....
