Should austerity apply to Brazil?

The country's president recently stated that "the austerity model has not worked in any country". In Brazil, the form of "agreement" between the established powers is by "giving and receiving", as coined by the Minister of then-president Fernando Henrique, in respect of a centuries-old practice in this country.

There is a list of few developed countries in the world. Brazil, by far, is not on it. Unfortunately.

The difference between a minority of developed countries and the vast majority of underdeveloped countries is: planning, austerity and a lot of education.

It is precisely because of this difference that Brazil is a poor country. Its per capita income is a fraction of that of developed countries. For many decades, governments have come and gone, but we have remained "firmly" underdeveloped.
