  • In Minnesota: Regulators unanimously voted to cap ratepayer-funded salaries for Xcel’s top 10 execs at $150K each annually for the years 2022–2024. That’s 1) about on par with what Gov. Tim Walz was making at the time, a suitable proxy in regulators’ POV, and 2) millions of dollars per year less than what Xcel was seeking.

  • In Tennessee: President Trump is pressuring TVA’s board to cap compensation at $500K for all employees—which would severely cut the multimillion-dollar salary of CEO Don Moul. The TVA board (stacked with recent Trump appointees) has 90 days to decide on implementing the pay cut.
