Tesla has introduced the Megapack 3 and Megablock, new grid batteries aimed at boosting its storage business after back-to-back quarterly declines. (TechCrunch)
The Megapack 3 adds about 1 MWh of capacity to Tesla’s previous largest model and features a wider operating range for extreme climates.
The Megablock bundles four Megapack 3 units into a 20 MWh block, which Tesla says will reduce installation times by 23% and construction times by up to 40%.
Both products will be manufactured at Tesla’s new Houston Megafactory, which is planned to produce up to 50 GWh of Megapack 3 and Megablock units annually once it ramps up in late 2026.
