Many homes can't support an EV charger, heat pump, and battery without a costly panel or utility upgrade. Enter smart panels, which throttle and shift loads to remain within safe limits. They could save tens of thousands per home in avoided infrastructure costs.
Span's panel retails at ~$3,500 versus $1,000-$2,500 for traditional gear—and the partnership aims to use Eaton's manufacturing and supply chain to drive that premium down.
