NEWS: Siemens Energy calls for Trump policy stability as it commits $1bn to US

Siemens Energy is committing $1B to US expansion while politely asking the White House to stop moving the goalposts. (FT)

  • Targeting the surging demand for grid hardware, the German industrial giant plans to build a new electrical equipment factory in Mississippi and upgrade facilities across five other states, creating 1,500 jobs.

  • CEO Christian Bruch told the FT that, while the US remains an “excellent market,” recent policy shifts—specifically the "painful" stop-work orders on offshore wind and unpredictable tariffs—are creating headaches.

  • So the company is asking for more policy stability. Bruch said the administration is "super approachable." Worth noting? Siemens manufactures the critical components required to meet the White House's energy goals.
