Yesterday, I went to David Energy's battery energy storage summit to hear what innovators and investors think about how batteries can lower costs and balance the grid.

What stuck with me: Demand for batteries has never been higher, but it’s still “very hard” to deploy them, as David Hammer said, co-founder of the EV battery startup PopWheels. “Consumers are ahead of regulators at this point,” said James McGinnis, founder of David Energy, a company that offers New Yorkers free plug-in batteries.

Oh, and: The award for most power banks in a single home goes to…Hammer (he has five, as he told the crowd at the event). 🔋
