Our profile, in relation to the three constituted powers, rewards formalities.
Currently, the proposed new fiscal "framework" centers its justification on metrics other than those currently in force. The justification is always to improve the national budget.
But what always calls my attention is the lack of interest in looking carefully at the items that make up our budget in order to clean up (much needed) a list of doubtful costs. I am referring specifically to the electricity business:
1. "Secret" items but multi-billion dollar items (without any transparency),
2. Subsidies to meet the interests of specific interests ("cronies"),
3. Inertia regarding billionaire power theft of energyÂ
4. Absence of an active demand response program,
5. Reactivity regarding EVs,
6. Lack of coping with the "duck curve" (non-firm energies)
7. The opening of the free market to small consumers and who will pay the costs embedded in ongoing regulated tariffs
