An Important Change to Make Zero Emissions 2040 Attainable

Sustainablity professionals agree, as responsible corporations, countries, and as a planet we must Reduce Before We Produce. But the reality is, by far most funding is committed to renewable energy projects. It seems evident that this is main reason we are making little to any progress towand zero emissions goals. Experts estimate at least 30% of renewable nergy is wasted. If we minimize energy demand first, we can rightsize renewables Less renewables will be needed and we will use almost all that energy produced!

A task force of energy professionals from multiple countries was formed to look at this issue. It is called the India Earth Zero Emissions Task Force (IEZETF). This task force believes a huge overhaul in sustainability spending is needed. Imediately 25% of sustainability funding should be committed to energy demand reduction projects. Over time that per centage should change to reflect where best results are achieved. There is a permanent cost to renewable energy production but there is no ongoing cost for reduced energy consumption! Energy consumption savings can fund rightsized renewable projects but renewable projects can not fund energy savings projects! If we minimize energy consumption in infrastucture we can much more easily rach zero emission goals.

Buildings and structures consume over 70% of the electricity produced and most of global buildings and structures are very inefficient! The IEZETF believe that 20-40% energy demand resuction is attainable. They have identified some building and strructure targets. The plan starts with utilizing building and structure data to meet or exceed a goal-

A Clean Climate innovator would have a 20% energy demand reduction goal

A Clean Climate Leader would have a 30% energy demand  reduction goal

A Clean Climate Champion would have a 40% energy demand reduction goal

An important element is to accomplish these reductions in commercial, governmental, residential, and institutional building and structures in hot, cold, or mixed climate countries and regions. With case studies we could prove this plan will be two to twelve times more effective than current clean climate programs being utilized and reach zero energy consumption goals decades sooner! .  .

The next phase in the plan would be to show how to use the energy savings to fund more energy savings measures until the savings are adequate to fund renewable projects! Let's stop the 30% of renewable energy that is being wasted. Minimize energy use THEN RIGHTSIZE your renewable energy. Time has proven that existing plans are not working. Once we have proven the viability of this plan financial organizations will gladly fund projects! This is the most important job on earth and we can make it real!.
