Gas-Electric Harmonization Initiative in NAESB is on track to succeed

I attended the Gas-Electric Harmonization meeting held by NAESB on 9/23. This initiative was called for by both FERC and NERC, requesting NAESB to address the challenges faced by the energy industry with regard to the inter-dependencies within Natural Gas and Electricity infrastructure, which can impact reliability and resiliency of our energy infrastructure. The NAESB initiative is being led by a highly qualified, successful, leadership team and proficient problem solvers, Pat Wood, Bob Gee and Sue Tierney. The NAESB community is coming together to work on this initiative, knowing the importance of achieving a successful outcome. The coming months will see an intense focus on finding practical solutions to address gas-electric harmonization to ensure a reliable energy infrastructure for all consumers. I have every reason to be optimistic that this effort will produce beneficial results.
