Fossil Fuel Oil Sands Producers Have Been Blowing Smoke Up Our Buts For Years

Researchers measured emissions in overflights of Canada's oil sands region that were up to 64 times greater than previously recorded. What they found were volatile organic compounds in sufficient amounts to be potential pollution hazards for those living downwind of the site. These chemicals could become widely dispersed in the environment polluting soil and water.
