Energy: What kind of Brazil do we want?
On paper and in speeches, Brazil is "the country" in energy.
In reality, that's not quite the case. We're the most expensive in terms of price per kWh compared to the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).
A real-life example is emblematic. A tree (close to my home) recently fell onto the 13 kV grid, putting pedestrians and vehicles at risk.
I called the utility company several times, selecting "emergencies." Repeatedly, the app showed "request completed," without anything having been done.
Days later, finally, after my insistence, the removal service was completed.
Luckily, there were no electrocutions and accidents!
But the message remains: when will we actually take action, as mandated by electricity sector regulations—to address such important issues?
Or will we continue like this, without ceremony?
