One of the most important characteristics for anyone wishing to thrive in the energy sector is their mindset.
Reactive individuals make up the "majority" here in Brazil. They prefer (not openly, of course) to be "directed." They follow the popular saying: "those with power give the orders; those with sense obey."
Proactive individuals take the initiative, analyze the market, study potential alternatives, and seek ways to optimize decision-making processes.
What I have discovered, consulting for corporate and institutional clients, is that there is a significant difference in results for those who are proactive.
Generally, cost metrics are far superior compared to those who simply take a reactive "wait-and-see" approach.
