Energy & news: looking at the customer
In Brazil, we have many good sources of news about the energy sector. The focus is invariably on the supply side:
The projected increase in the supply
Free, deregulated prices and captive tariffs
Subsidies
Curtailments
Available energy sources
Spot prices
What I miss, and see as a great business opportunity, is presenting the market with news but with a bias towards energy consumers (industrial, commercial, residential):
When does it make sense to lock deals/prices
Which actions have yielded attractive returns
What are the main risks involved
Which forms of risk mitigation should be considered
Ranking the costs of energy sources
Brazil and the world: how do they compare in energy If anyone wants to prospect this business, I am available to help!
