Emissions Gap of 23 Billion Tons of CO2 Equivalent by 2030 States Climate Report

A dashboard application called the Climate Policy Explorer has analyzed 1,500 announced climate policies from 41 countries and concludes that 63 of these are effective and reproducible in other nations. The dashboard reveals that 22.7% of successful policies in the electricity sector are using a taxation strategy while seven deploying a policy mix of tax, subsidy and regulation have reduced emissions by 25.63%. Further statistics from the electricity sector show that implementing air pollution standards has led to 4 successful policies that have reduced emissions by 19.05%. Renewable subsidies in 8 implementations have produced more than 20% emission reductions.
