Aggressive or Conservative?

Aggressive or Conservative?

In the financial market there are designations to identify the investor. Aggressive, Conservative and its variants.

As long as markets operate in relative stability these designations make sense. But with the great turbulence that has occurred in recent years, I am led to believe that they do not faithfully represent the qualification of investors.

I'm an example of this question that I raise. I'm usually interested in allocating my resources to variable income (for example, stocks). But almost two years ago I decided to change and  concentrated on fixed income (bonds, Treasury).

That is, I change according to my own assessments about the expectation I have regarding fixed and/or variable income.

I believe that this "Aggressive x Conservative" paradigm should be replaced by more "fundamentalist" analyses. And then define what the investor feels better and change as the analyzes change.

This analysis are made to help also when choosing stocks. Traditionally energy related stocks (oil and gas, power, etc.) were of a conservative nature. Are they now?Â
