Self-Perpetuating Warming

It’s both ironic and disturbing. We have made progress in reducing anthropomorphic (human caused) pollution. However, the climate change (global warming) associated with the pollutants has already begun, and this warming has many side-effects, including amplification of global warming and major health-impacts. Firefighting has improved in areas typically prone to wildfires. Ironically, this has led to living- and dead-plant fuel accumulation, which, in-turn, leads to larger, more intense wildfires. The final irony is that wildfire-smoke contains precursors for ozone, which is a greenhouse gas that increases global warming.
