Hard reality (Brazil)
This week I posted about free power market prices and the natural tendency of massive consumer migration to this environment, due to the resulting economy.
I got to the point of questioning what would happen if, to the limit, the entire market migrated - how would it look with the $ Billions of associated "extra" costs that are charged (only) to captive consumers. I inferred that it would be interesting if there was clarity in this regard.
Will the "extra" be charged to the deregulated energy users?
An American reader of this post I made (on the Energy Central portal) translated his perception in a simple and easy to understand way: "the situation described would be a re-regulation".
It will be important for the regulator (ANEEL) to pronounce on this, so that there is transparency, predictability and respect for contracts, favouring the institutional security of the electricity sector.
