Energy: are you a leader or....?

In the most common imagination, a leader is someone who takes on the responsibility of (1) discovering opportunities and (2) how to make them happen, considering the (boundary) conditions that are always involved.

If these opportunities are chosen by their companies/institutions, in order to prosper, the leader is the one who prepares a timeline with activities, deadlines and those responsible.

The big challenge, in my opinion, lies in the perception of those "involved". There is usually an assessment that the leader is always "forcing too much", setting unrealistic goals.

Conflict arises due to a divergence of perceptions and expectations. Leaders think far ahead and want to reach a new level of energy cost and reliability. The others, typically, say that "their plates are already too full, there is no room for anything else".

So... who are you?
