In 2002, Berry Petroleum relocated one of their steam flood generators from Bakersfield to Placerita, California. The unit is in a region governed by the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD). Strict permit levels of 9 ppm NOx and 50 ppm CO apply.
