Like other business sectors, electric utility customers expect more insight into their energy usage, as well as a satisfying service experience. With technology rapidly changing, utilities are investing in new solutions the connect customers via online, mobile, and social network solutions. Consequently, global customer engagement spending is expected to grow from approximately $3.6 billion in 2017 to over $5.2 billion in 2026, according to market research firm Navigant Research.
