Former Energy Sec. Jennifer Granholm will co-chair the “Making Energy More Affordable and Reliable” panel alongside Allison Clements, a former FERC commissioner and grid reliability expert—creating a veritable dream team of regulatory alums to guide state policy.
The mandate: The team’s explicit goal is to “drive down costs starting with electric bills,” a signaled pivot toward ratepayer protection as the state navigates its aggressive clean energy targets.
The squad: The chairs will be joined by a deep bench of experts, including New Jersey’s longtime ratepayer advocate Stefanie Brand and former DOE Grid Deployment Office director Maria Robinson.
