This is our greatest threat! Earth is heating up faster than AT ANY TIME in the last 485 million years due to human greenhouse emissions! "In the distant past, major climate shifts were driven by natural geological processes like volcanic activity and shifting continents. These changes played out incredibly slowly—over thousands to millions of years. Today, human activities—specifically the burning of fossil fuels—are dumping enormous amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere on the scale of mere decades and centuries." The Bottom Line: The climate that human civilization was built upon—the stable conditions that allowed us to thrive—is no longer guaranteed. Earth can become dramatically hotter, and our rapid greenhouse gas emissions are pushing us there faster than nature intended. It is time to listen to the deep history of our planet and take immediate action. Immediate action IS NOT renewables. Most energy produced is wasted! We say "The cleanest energy is the energy we don't use." and "Reduce BEFORE you produce" but that is NOT where we are spending our time and money. Demand energy reduction can self fund then fund renewables! We can do a much better job and it needs to be a major overhaul that starts very soon! It is time to listen to the deep history of our planet and take immediate action.
