IEHRA provides a setting to collectively examine these issues and exchange ideas with peers. The Independent Power Producers Human Resources National Conference (IPPHRNC) was established in 1989 with a vision of bringing human resources professionals together to network and exchange information on specific issues and trends facing them during this period of rapid domestic and international growth. Formally incorporated in 1995 as IPPHRNC, changed in 1997 to Independent Power Human Resources Association (IPHRA), and changed in (2008) to Independent Energy Human Resources Association (IEHRA), the group has developed into a professional association which focuses on human resource issues affecting all aspects of the independent energy industry.
