The Bidgely HomeBeat™ consumer engagement mobile app for utilities has delivered strong results, with significant load reduction for leading Australian utility United Energy. Results from the award-winning Bidgely ActionDR™ behavioral demand response trial solution implemented by United Energy, deployed using the consumer-friendly HomeBeat app, averaged greater than 30 percent load reduction for peak events occurring during the 2016 summer season in Australia.

United Energy is a leading Australian utility company that owns, operates and maintains a distribution network supplying energy to more than 640,000 customers in the state of Victoria. After evaluating various options, the utility implemented HomeBeat ActionDR for the customer trial.
The ActionDR mobile app delivered personalized targets and real-time feedback to each customer on their energy reduction efforts during the peak events. Customers also received targeted energy saving tips based on disaggregation of each home's actual energy use as well as performance-based rewards for changes in behavior. Using the app meant information could be delivered in a simple, actionable and timely manner.
