First step is grid stability through smart charging. Wherever possible have the grid operator regulate the time and rate of charging whilst getting state of charge where it needs to be. As an example, at half time during a major sporting event when loads of people decide to go make coffee causing demand to spike, having vehicle chargers pause for 10 minutes to flatten the peak.
