Description : Moroccan Sustainable Energy Agency (Masen), in partnership with Futuren (a subsidiary of the EDF Renouvelables Group) is planning to increase capacity of Koudia Al Baida wind farm from 50 MW to 120 MW, i.e. an additional 70 MW. The park repowering will involve the dismantling of existing turbines followed by their replacement with new generation, and higher performance turbines. This project is a further testimony of the close collaboration between Masen and ONEE in the development of the national renewable energy portfolio, in line with Masen's new prerogatives. As a reminder, Morocco has about 2300 MW of wind projects, including 11 wind farms, already in operation with an installed capacity of 1200 MW, and more than 1100 MW under construction or financial closure.

Updates : March 15, 2019:

Masen, in partnership with Futuren is launching a call for tenders for the selection of an EPC constructor for the repowering project of the Koudia Al Baida wind farm.
