When the Axios Generate blurb hit my email this morning I knew had my topic for the day. The headline read: π»π‘Žπ‘£π‘’ π‘π‘™π‘–π‘šπ‘Žπ‘‘π‘’ β€œπ‘‘π‘–π‘π‘π‘–π‘›π‘” π‘π‘œπ‘–π‘›π‘‘π‘ β€ π‘—π‘’π‘šπ‘π‘’π‘‘ π‘‘β„Žπ‘’ π‘ β„Žπ‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘˜?

My first thought was one can only hope as this is a key component of the strategy change that I believe the climate community must make to reverse years of failing to achieve its goals.

The article summarizes a perspective piece published by a number of prominent climate scientists in π‘π‘Žπ‘‘π‘’π‘Ÿπ‘’ πΆπ‘™π‘–π‘šπ‘Žπ‘‘π‘’ πΆβ„Žπ‘Žπ‘›π‘”π‘’. Of course, the scientists couch the possibility of an overuse of the term β€œtipping point” in what I would define as science speak.

Today’s post puts the issue in plain English and offers a roadmap that just maybe, some key players in the climate change effort are ready to listen to.
