Which Brazilian power trading companies can be contracted?
The immediate answer is: all those registered with the Electric Power Trading Chamber (CCEE) - the Brazilian Power Clearing House.!
Is that really the case?
For my consulting clients, the answer I give to the question posed in this post's title is: those that demonstrate current financial and economic robustness.
Having a well-known brand name isn't enough. And by far! The client needs to analyze the situation carefully.
Failing to do so significantly increases the risk of getting into a bad situation—a growing concern in Brazil, given that a number of trading companies are currently undergoing court-supervised reorganization or facing a precarious financial position. The bottom line: it requires a systemic view of potential energy suppliers in the free market.
