Free-market power prices for future delivery fell by about 10% this past week!
Even so, they remain approximately 20% higher than the prices of a year ago.
I really like comparing futures power prices with the marginal cost of expansion (MCE) that I calculate for my clients.
For now, futures prices are still ABOVE the MCE.
When prices are BELOW the MCE, I recommend locking in contracts, as the opportunity is right there!
