Energy: the big picture!

In Brazil, the standard practice is for companies and institutions to meet with "solution" vendors and—after hearing their pitches—decide whether or not to make a purchase.

Naturally, this is a "biased" setup. The buyer incurs no cost to evaluate the "solution" in question, while the vendor is, of course, keen to close the deal.

This "system" may work at times. However, established engineering practices teach us that the most reliable and secure results require an independent, client-focused perspective.

This means taking into account the technical, financial, managerial, and legal issues that are always at play. It requires a big-picture view!

So, how do you want to approach energy deals? By starting with the big picture and moving to the details later, or by following our tradition of diving straight into the details from the very beginning?
