Energy: Teamwork

In my experience as a consultant, exceptional results in the energy sector have been achieved—and sustained—whenever teamwork was present. I am referring to an alignment of perceptions and expectations.

Executives create a strategy, while management levels "make it happen." The consultant encourages both these tiers to develop consistent strategic and operational plans, defined by specific activities, deadlines, and assigned responsibilities.

It goes far beyond that quintessentially Brazilian mindset: "those with power give orders, and those with common sense obey."

Teamwork has the potential to deliver exceptional results, particularly by leveraging the capabilities and talents of every individual involved.

This stands in stark contrast to the fear I have often observed among management and operational staff—who would frequently avoid certain solutions for reasons that were, to say the least, questionable.

Teamwork should be embraced by companies and institutions aiming for success—measured by results!
