Proving that it is possible to navigate in total autonomy, in extreme conditions by drawing energy from nature, without any ecological impact.

I love this idea-- they're not saying other islands or areas should jump into a 100% hydrogen+renewable system, but by proving that they can do it they are making a case for why more areas should heavily consider investing in a more renewable/hydrogen energy mix. This could be quite valuable of a lesson for more remote areas and islands that have to rely on expenses imported fuels that come with high price volalitiy and potential for interruption in delivery

Gentlemen - the title of the article is:

"A World First! Energy Observer Arrives on the Island of Spitsbergen, Powered Only by Renewable Energy and Hydrogen"

The boat they used to get to Spitzbergen was powered by renewable energy and hydrogen, not the island.
Did either of you read the article, or were you overcome by renewable-phoria en route?
