Going green: UK sets renewable energy records
2017 was undoubtedly a banner year for renewable energy. Great Britain's performance on renewable energy was no exception. Most noticeably, in the world of electricity, Great Britain produced 3 times the amount of electricity from renewable sources than they did from coal powered generation. In addition, several other renewable records were broken this year, including the month of April 2017 where the UK had its first 24-hour period in more than 150 years, without using power from coal.
