GE partners with Green Investment Group to provide onshore wind to Sweden
GE Energy Financial Services (GEFS) and the Green Investment Group jointly acquired 650 MW of onshore wind in Sweden from Svevind.
GE said the Markbygden ETT wind farm would boost Sweden’s installed wind capacity by over 12.5 percent. Construction on the project has started and is expected to be completed by the end of 2019. GE Renewable Energy will provide 179 of its 3.6-MW wind turbines. Norse Hydro signed a 19-year power purchase agreement for the output of the project.
