Tip to optimize your time (Brazil)

Tip to optimize your time

Comparing clients I served in the United States with Brazilians, I noticed a fundamentally different aspect.

The Americans I met were clear about the goals they should pursue. They diligently allocated their time in a structured fashion. Always at stake the results (expected and agreed upon) with their bosses.

Here in Brazil the prevalence is for opening a wide range of initiatives after all technical guys and lower managers maintain that the more they "know everything" the better they will be evaluated.

Systematically in Brazil time is not considered as a scarce resource. This way meetings, and conference calls are held but most of the times end up being wasted because it is not about a "structured process".

The recommendation is to evaluate in advance what deserves to be addressed. Choose what will receive quality attention and especially focus on achieving and maintaining results.
