Success road-maps (Energy)

Success Road-maps (Energy)

I have been consulting for over 30 years always in the energy arena.

Achieving and maintaining excellent results is associated with the road-map on the slide above.

I won awards in Brazil for energy efficiency, in the United States for structured projects involving high voltage connections and power generation and a list of cases were published in Brazil and the United States.

If you would like to go for  this road-map make sure to contact me. It's absolutely fascinating!

My interest is piqued-- could you possibly give a quick example of how a project may follow along on this roadmap?

It all starts with whom you are starting the "whole process".

One great example was when the CEO of a large industrial company told me "you discover the rabits out of your hat as a magician would do and go for it" meaning that I would have "all the authority" to proceed as necessary to identify energy related alternatives, bring them to his attention so that he would go for a well educaed decision. I was able to work with all the team, motivate them and actually discover the solutions. They accepted my suggestion to migrate to the deregulated power markets and saved more than 20% of their power bill!

Another example, a bad one, was when an engineer asked to help him with very specif energy efficiency related possibilities. But... since this was not previously discussed with the upper managers it never flew!

Bottom line. This process depends on a clear vision: methodology is essential to discover options, evaluate their pros and cons, associated risks. Come up with a business case.

This is all very simple - conceptually - but ususally not really easy because the temptation to focus on specifics is enormous!

Great examples of where it can go right and go wrong-- thanks for sharing!
