PG&E is considering implementing Public Safety Power Shutoffs that may impact portions of 30 northern, central, coastal and Bay Area counties: Alameda, Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, Contra Costa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lake, Mariposa, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Sierra, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Tehama, Tuolumne, Yolo and Yuba. Northern California fire season is from October through December. This is when there is the greatest fire potential as the Santa Ana winds pick up. Almost everywhere from Napa through Santa Clara will be reliably unreliable from Wednesday through the end of 2019.
