Climate Change Levy (CCL) Calculator

Climate Change Levy Calculator

Climate Change Levy (CCL) is a UK energy tax that is applied to non domestic energy bills. It was introduced through the Finance Act in 2001. CCL is applied to fuels such as gas, electricity and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG), used by the majority of UK business. CCL is paid directly to HM Revenue & Customs.

At present, it brings in around £1.8bn to the UK government. The rates for 2019 are set to increase by 51%. The biggest jump since its introduction in 2001.

For UK business, this will have a large impact on their energy bills and their budgets for energy.

To better prepare for this upcoming increase in CCL costs. We have created a simple calculator that works out your CCL costs for the coming years.
