Electric car company Tesla unveiled the Model Y, the latest edition from its fleet of electric car, at a jam-packed and hour-long launch yesterday. The car is an SUV and comes in four editions. The most basic version will cost $39,000 and has a range of 230 miles, with a top speed of 120 miles per hour. Subsequent versions amp up the speed and costs, with $60,000 for the high-end version. The cheapest version costing $39,000 will be released last in the spring of 2021. Other versions will be released next year. Ordering a Model Y on Tesla's website will set you back by $2,500. The Palo Alto company did not disclose its plans to develop infrastructure for the cars.
