The United States lost about 8,000 solar jobs (3.2%) in 2018, according to the Solar Foundation’s National Solar Jobs Census 2018. There are 242,343 individuals who spend 50% or more of their time on solar-related work. The majority (56%) work in the residential segment, 30% in non-residential and, 14% work in utility scale projects. Are you surprised that solar employment dipped last year? What caused the drop?
